乔治华盛顿大学、普渡大学还有其他一些学校的Why Essay的陈述范式基本表达了同一个意思，就是“俺们学校能为你的兴趣、爱好、才能、未来规划的发展做点啥？说说吧！”一看到兴趣、爱好，有些同学开始跟倒豆子一样光说自己，可是不要忘记此类题目的题眼在于“学校能为你的....能做的支撑”，所以一定要将自己所求跟学校已有的提供给学生的资源联系起来。比如喜欢运动的你可以到学校Athletics的链接网页中找到亮点，GW和Purdue都分别有男女各种球类运动的校队和俱乐部；对于高中就辩论或者演讲经验丰富的同学而言，GW的Student Speaker Competition“学生演讲比赛”无疑会成为你施展才华的舞台(http://commencement.gwu.edu/student-speaker-competition)；
