Wilkinson,Marlborough and Pembroke College, Cambridge, and Mary P. Wilkinson, Cathedral School for Girls, Shanghai; Langford Grove (Essex) and Eastbourne School of Domestic Economy: Clubs, Shanghai, Country,Cercle Sportif Francais, Race and Husi Country of Shanghai, and Thatched House, London.Mr. Wilkinson was educated at the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Barnet, and the Stationers" Company"s School, London. He first arrived in Shanghai November 15, 1909, to join the Finance Department of the Municipal Council, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant (A.C.A.) in 1906. Resigning from the Finance Department, he was with the North China Insurance Co., Ltd., 1911-18, and since 1919 has been a partner in Thomson & Co., Chartered Accountants. He is now Governing Partner of the firm which, with head offices in Shanghai, also operates in Hongkong, Hankow, Tientsin and Peiping. Mr. Wilkinson has had service with the H.A.C. (London) and the Maxim Battery, Shanghai Volunteer Corps, of Shanghai, and is Honorary Secretary of the Navy League, Shanghai Branch, and the Union Jack Club, of Shanghai. Indicative of a hobby which has given him much pleasant recreation, he is Keeper of Ornithology of the Royal Asiatic Society of Shanghai and the author of "Shanghai Birds," "Shanghai Country Walks," and "The Shanghai Bird Year." Society affiliations are indicated by M.B.O.U., F.R.G.S., and F.Z.S.For several years Mr. Wilkinson has been a member of the French Municipal Council, governing body of the French Concession in Shanghai, one of the few Britishers upon whom that honour has been conferred.
