你不应该左右别人的想法。
You should not govern others’ opinion.
我不喜欢妈妈左右我的兴趣爱好。
I don’t like my mother controls my hobbies.

左手右手
“左右”用在数量词后面表示概数。
“zuǒyòu” used after num-measure phrase indicates approximate number.
比如：
For example,
最近，一个朋友对我说，你看起来18岁左右。
Recently, a friend said to me that you look like you are about 18 years old.
来了一千人左右。
There were toward about a thousand people.
我认识你一年左右了，今天才发现你的脸皮这么厚！
I have known you for about 1 year,I didn’t found that you are so cheeky until today.
