The Themes and Multi-Dimensional Values of New Lyrics in Changde Silk String

Abstract:The themes of new lyrics in Changde Silk String can be categorized into times theme,regional theme and transcendental theme.The theme of the times is to eulogize the times and the people,promoting the positive energy,as well as reveal realistic conflicts and criticize the social problems.Thus,it signifies the value of cognition,encouragement and reflection.The Silk String works,with the regional theme,record the geographical customs,historical culture and humanistic spirit of Changde and Hunan.The psychological status and behavior of audience are subtly influenced by the aesthetic effect and value rationality of such works.Transcendental theme focuses on eternal topics such as childlike innocence,nostalgia and humanistic world,which leads to the philosophical propositions of the original and the ultimate,existence and significance,time and space,traditional and modern.
