A remake of franklin svaner"s 1973 film, "barbiron," tells the story of Henry"s escape from prison in French Guiana after being set up to kill a pimp and exiled to the ocean.

Henry was imprisoned on charges of killing a pimp and exiled to a Guyana penal colony called devil"s island. Disease was prevalent throughout the wilderness, and 90 percent of the laborers who worked day and night died of disease before their sentences were completed. However, Henry always believed that he was innocent, in order to clear his name, from the first day he set foot on devil"s island, he began to plot an escape.
