A hotly debated topic among basketball fans around the world, Bryant replied, “Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird……um…… and of course me,” he said, holding up five fingers to remind the crowd of his five NBA championships.

Away from the court, Bryant has also discussed his success in film, picking up an Oscar for best animated short film for his role producing Dear Basketball last year.

“This is a very special experience,” he said, “Because I had been dreaming of winning the NBA championship since I was five or six years old, but I never imagined I could win an Oscar.”
