Long ago and far away, there lived a princess. On her birthday the Queen said,"I promise to give you any toy you want."
在很久很久有前，在一个国家，有一位公主。在她生日的那天，王后跟她说：“我亲爱的孩子，我许诺给你任何你想要的玩具，我都会给你。”

"I want a ball made of gold," said the Princess.
“我想要一个金子做的球。”公主马上提出了要求。
"There are no balls made of gold," said the Queen.
“没有球是用金子做成的。”皇后回答说。
"But a promise is a promise," said the Princess.
“但是许诺就是许诺，做出了就要实现它。”公主立马不乐意了。

So the Queen had a ball of gold made for the Princess.
所以，后来，王后真的送给公主一个黄金做成的球。
