Chinese Football是一个2011年愚人节的无比真诚的玩笑，他们是97一代国足的噪音遗产与97世代独立摇滚的回响余温。EMO朋克、数摇、后摇，Chinese Football尝试着不同风格。他们这样形容自己：骨子里流淌着Envy/Fugazi的硬核热血，又在Jimmy Eat World & The Get Up Kids的陪伴下度过了矫情的青春期，想像NUMBER GIRL & Cap"n Jazz那样一路横冲直撞，又难以割舍The Sea and Cake & Yo La Tengo般甜美旋律。是这样一支貌似高冷志在洗脑的热血流行天团。
The birth of Chinese Footballbegan with a mere joke in the April Fools’ Day in 2011. The Chinese football team’s 1997 entry to the Asian Top 10, as well as the indie rock fad around 1997 had a serious influence on the members. Various attempts are made in their music on EMO, punk, Math-rock and Post-Rock. They describe themselves as hardcore like Envy and Fugazi, cheesy like Jimmy eat world and Get up kids, fearless like Number girl and Cap "n jazz, but reluctant to let go of the sweetness of The Sea and Cake and Yo La Tengo. The band seems aloof, but produces catchy music.
