The Might of Great Powers: The Original Mission of the Indian Diplomatic Strategies

Abstract: Since the independence of India, power and security interests have always become one of the main lines of its foreign strategies. The reason behind not only lies in its persistent realist thought tradition, but also in its interpretation of the Indian dream of becoming an "impressive great power" as an international political destiny and letting it guide its foreign policy. As a result, during its rise, India has gradually established two broad categories of diplomatic models targeting large countries and its expanding neighbors, all of which work together on its effort to pursue a global power status. There is no doubt that the great diplomacy with Indian characteristics has affected its relations with China. Therefore, paying attention to and making plans on Sino-Indian relations from a strategic point of view has become an important issue for China’s diplomacy.
