范敏 Min Fan
范敏,交互设计研究者和设计师,博士学位毕业于加拿大西蒙弗雷泽大学交互艺术与技术专业,并留校从事博士后工作。研究兴趣是以儿童教育为中心的智能实体及其它相关领域(如具身、可穿戴、增强现实等 ) 的交互设计的探索。研究领域主要包括 : 围绕儿童及智能实体教育相关产品的设计理论的探索;交互产品和应用的设计、研发、检验;以及基于实践提出的设计原则等。曾参与多项由加拿大国家社科基金资助的科研项目,并在 HCI 国际顶级会议 ( 如ACM CHI,IDC,TEI,GROUP) 及期刊 (International Journal of Child-ComputerInteraction) 发表 20 余篇高质量的论文 , 受邀参加国际大会演讲 5 次,2017 获得人机交互国际顶级会议 CHI 前 5% 最佳论文提名奖。
Dr. Fan Min is a researcher and interaction designer. She was a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT) at Simon Fraser University in Canada. Her research interests are child-centric and tangible (embodied/wearable/augmentedreality) interaction design. Her research work contributes to the interaction design for children and tangible, embedded, embodied interaction communities through results from theoretical explorations, the development of child-specific tangible applications, and empirically derived design guidelines for tangible user interfaces. Funded by Canada Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), Dr. Fan has published more than 20 research papers in the top HCI journals and conferences such as ACMCHI, IDC, TEI, and GROUP. She has been invited to present her research findings at academic conferences five times. In 2017,her paper titled "Why Tangibility Matters: A Design Case Study of At-Risk Children Learning to Read and Spell" won the top 5% Best Paper Honorable Mention Award at the CHI conference.
