“Do you happen to have a dog?” I asked.“He has no ID.” I added in embarrassment for my abruptness. “Yes. But ... how do you know our boy Bama?” The old woman’s eyes rounded in confusion. “What a coincidence! Our baby is also called Bama.” I exclaimed in surprising disbelief, “My house was frequented by your Bama.” As shocked as I, the young man asked, “Sir, did he cause you any trouble?” , his voice being kind of upset.
“Not at all! Actually, he was a big help.” I said. I poured out our story, explaining that we had been thrown into a world of darkness for the loss of Bama. However, it was their Bama that relieved us of sorrow. The old woman listened in silence and then breathed a long relief. I threw my arms around her tightly, a surge of warmth springing from our hearts. “Bama” returned, bonding us with new friends and helping us go through the darkest time of my life.
