metaphor:analogy n.隐喻 类比/I’m not saying I want you to buy me a hat, it’s a metaphor: shoe 就是鞋子的意思。下文 "it"s a metaphor"，是个比喻！Rachel喜欢购物嘛，所以把服饰比喻成人的理想，别人告诉rachel要成为一只鞋，rachel自己想做个"purse" 以鞋喻人生,职业、前途或者某一类人。老爸老妈希望Rachel成为某一种人，Rachel自己却另有想法。只不过Rachel想不到用什么比喻，所以用自己最喜欢的服饰作比喻。Rachel喜欢逛街购物嘛.Shoe和Purse都是ladies的最爱。shoe是指要成双配对的生活，因为shoes是2只一起的，一只shoe永远需要另外一只。
purse就是独立的，自己可以生存的， 不需要配对的。
