泰山皮影戏的表演方式大体上可分为两种：一种是2人至3人的合作演出，1人伴奏，1人至2人操影和演唱；另一种是一个人全部包揽，即“十不闲”。所谓“十不闲”，也叫“皮影独角戏”，是指在皮影戏的演出中，表演、操纵、伴奏、演唱、道白均由一个人独立完成，表演者身兼数职，需要有深厚的表演功底。

The performer takes on multiple roles and requires a profound performing skill.
