假如再从世界宗教史之角度来观照嵩山，我们既可在嵩山的若干条皱褶中，以及嵩山附近不远处，窥见到人类各大普世宗教之建筑的庄严身影，比如拥有千年悠久历史的白马寺、法王寺、少林寺、永泰寺等寺庙，事实上，嵩山又是中国儒、道、释三教的发源之山。
