父母侵入式的养育方式创造了一种环境，在这种环境中，孩子的意见几乎毫无存活的空间。心理控制的教养方式会对青少年的自主意识构成严重的威胁。《奇葩说》中有一期话题是：如果可以为孩子一键定制完美人生，你会按下按钮吗？一键定制之后，孩子就可以拥有高学历、高颜值、高智商，爱情事业双丰收，出任CEO，迎娶白富美，登上人生巅峰……但是问题是，完美并非一个结果，而是一个过程。所以很多家长在对这种理想状态追求中，忽视了孩子身为独立个体的自主性。什么是完美的人生？黄执中在节目中说：“那就是在人生的时时刻刻，永远都尽可能地保有最多的选择权。”
