The results reflect the Chinese people’s friendly sentiment toward and positive impression of ASEAN nations, support for the development of good-neighborly friendship between China and ASEAN, and confidence in the future of China-ASEAN relations. This is the result of China’s long commitment to a neighborhood diplomacy of good-neighborliness and friendship. It also demonstrates the broad popular support for the development of China-ASEAN ties.
中方高度重视中国东盟关系，始终视东盟为中国周边外交的优先方向。在中国和东盟国家共同努力下，中国与东盟关系蓬勃发展，取得了举世瞩目的成就。去年，我们共同庆祝了中国—东盟建立对话关系30周年，正式宣布建立中国东盟全面战略伙伴关系。今年1月1日，《区域全面经济伙伴关系协定》正式生效，为地区和世界和平稳定以及繁荣发展注入新的动力。
China attaches high importance to relations with ASEAN and always sees ASEAN as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy. With the concerted efforts of China and ASEAN countries, China-ASEAN ties have flourished with remarkable achievements. Last year, the two sides commemorated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-ASEAN dialogue relations and officially announced the establishment of a China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership. On January 1, 2022, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement officially took effect, bringing new impetus to regional and global peace, stability, development and prosperity.
