In 1989, the first issue of cultural relics magazine published a brief report on
the excavation of Jiahu Site in Wuyang County, Henan Province, written by Henan
Institute of cultural relics, which shocked the world. Among the excavated historical
relics, there are 17 relics with deed inscriptions. These characters are engraved on
oracle bones, stones and pottery. Among them, there were 9 engraved symbols on
tortoise shells, 5 on bone vessels and 3 on pottery. These ancient characters are all
carved by deed. So many artifacts are engraved with words, indicating that words
were widely used at that time. More importantly, many of them are surprisingly
similar to the oracle bone inscriptions of the Shang Dynasty, such as the words " 目"
and " 曰", "
