北京周口店遗址出土的，北京猿人头骨化石，惊动了全世界。同遗址还发
现了远古先人用火的迹痕，及山顶洞人用来装饰用的打了孔的贝壳。这说明远
古先人已经吃熟食，并有了对美的追求。这足以证明，北京周口店地区的古人类，已经开始由动物状态向人的演变，由野蛮向文明转变。
The skull fossils of Peking Man unearthed at Zhoukoudian site in Beijing have
shocked the world. The same site also found traces of re used by ancient ancestors
and perforated shells used for decoration by cave people on the top of the mountain.
This shows that ancient ancestors had eaten cooked food and had the p ursuit of
beauty. This is enough to prove that the ancient humans in Zhoukoudian area of
Beijing have begun to evolve from animal state to human state and from barbarism to civilization.
我国地域辽阔，除河北外，在我国的云南、广西、四川、山西等地，都先
后发现有古人类的化石。根据测定，少则几万年，多则几十万年，甚至几百万年。 由于自然条件的限制，原始人类的繁育生存区域，应当是相对稳定的。
