《中国日报》记者：外交部今天发布了密克罗尼西亚联邦总统访华的消息，发言人能否介绍此访安排和中方期待？ China Daily: Can you share the program and China’s expectations for the visit by President of the Federated States of Micronesia to China?
汪文斌：中国同密克罗尼西亚联邦建交35年来，两国关系取得长足发展，各领域务实合作富有成果，惠及两国人民，也促进了地区和平、稳定与发展。 Wang Wenbin: Over the past 35 years since China and the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) established diplomatic ties, bilateral relations have made steady progress with fruitful practical cooperation in various fields that has benefited the two peoples and contributed to peace, stability and development in the region.
此访是西米纳总统就任以来首次对中国进行国事访问，两国领导人将就双边关系发展及共同关心的问题深入交换意见。中方愿同密方一道，以此访为契机，增进政治互信，深化务实合作，扩大人文交流，推动中密关系进一步向前发展。 This is the first state visit to China by President Wesley W. Simina since he took office. Leaders of the two countries will have in-depth exchange of views on bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest. China stands ready to work with the FSM and take this visit as an opportunity to enhance political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation, expand cultural and people-to-people exchange, and further advance bilateral relations.
