赵立坚：作为联合国安理会5月轮值主席，中方会同挪威、突尼斯和法国，共同倡议就巴以停火发表安理会主席新闻谈话，并推动安理会全体成员协商一致通过。 Zhao Lijian: As the rotating president of the Security Council for May, China, together with Norway, Tunisia and France, put forward the proposal that the Council should release a press statement on the Gaza ceasefire and worked for its consensus-based adoption by all membership.
在新闻谈话中，安理会成员欢迎巴以停火，认可埃及和其他地区国家、联合国、中东问题“四方机制”及其他国际伙伴发挥的重要作用，呼吁全面遵守停火，强调必须立即向巴勒斯坦平民特别是加沙地区提供人道援助，希望国际社会同联合国一道制定综合有力方案，促进迅速、可持续的重建与恢复，并重申基于以色列和巴勒斯坦两个民主国家在安全和公认的边界内和平共处、比邻而居的愿景，实现全面和平至关重要。
The members of the Security Council welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire and recognized the important role Egypt, other regional countries, the UN, the Middle East Quartet and other international partners played in this regard. The Security Council called for the full adherence to the ceasefire and stressed the immediate need for humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian civilian population, particularly in Gaza, and supported the call for the international community to work with the United Nations on developing an integrated, robust package of support for a swift, sustainable reconstruction and recovery. The members of the Security Council reiterated the importance of achieving a comprehensive peace based on the vision of a region where two democratic states, Israel and Palestine, live side by side in peace with secure and recognized borders.
