Martin Jacques says that there has been "an overwhelming failure to grasp the nature of the Chinese Communist Party in the West". In fact, it is not difficult to understand the CPC. As long as people don"t wear tinted glasses of ideology and uphold the spirit of equality and mutual respect, they can get a fair understanding of the real CPC from history and get to know China as it is.
