change and brightness of the ancient jade surface, which is actually a layer of coating
slurry formed on the jade surface due to oxidation. Calcium spots, grain cracks and
unique corrosion spots and holes can also be seen. This is the result of continuous
oxidation of jade buried in underground pits. Especially the ancient jade in the north,
such as Hongshan ancient jade, is the most obvious. These changes of ancient jade
formed in nature can not be articially made now.

方不大相同，如良渚古玉。南方古玉的表面多像包了一层白色的薄膜，玉型较 为完整。
