Governments have the responsibility to step up regulation on nuclear materials, combat nuclear smuggling and ensure nuclear security. We call on all countries that are not members to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) to join it, subject nuclear materials to IAEA safeguards, in order to enhance nuclear security, prevent proliferation, and make due contributions to international peace and security.
