美方的确现在总提竞争问题，把中国作为主要战略竞争对手。美国是体育强国和奥运大国，对“更快更高更强”的奥林匹克精神应该有较深的理解。运动员竞技追求的是不断提升自己、突破自我，取得更好成绩，而不是给其他运动员使绊子或恶意干扰，否则只会因为违规而被罚出局。
The US now begins every conversation with competition and eyes China as a major strategic competitor. As a leading sporting nation and a major Olympic player, the US should have a deep understanding of the Olympic spirit of "faster, higher and stronger". The pursuit of athletes is to constantly improve themselves, outperform themselves and achieve better results, rather than to undercut or maliciously disrupt others, otherwise they will only be sent off for breaking the rules.
中国的战略意图公开透明。我们从不以超越美国为目标，而是不断提升自己、超越自己，努力成为更好的中国，让中国人民过上更加美好的生活，同时也让中国的发展为世界和平与发展作出越来越大贡献。
China"s strategic intent has been open and transparent. We never aim to overtake the US.
