The Taiwan question and matters concerning Hong Kong are purely China"s domestic affairs where no foreign government, organization or individual has any right to meddle. We urge relevant countries, organizations and politicians to earnestly respect China"s sovereignty and refrain from sending wrong signals to "Taiwan-independence" and "Hong Kong independence" forces.
既然这个峰会叫作“民主峰会”，我想就民主说几句。民主是全人类共同价值，民主的实现形式多种多样，一国的民主制度应当也只能由这个国家的人民从自身实际出发制定。中国实行的社会主义民主政治，是一种全过程、最广泛的民主，体现人民意志，符合中国国情，得到人民拥护。 Since the event is called a "democracy summit", I would like to spend some time talking about democracy. Democracy is a common value of humanity. There are various ways to realize democracy. True democracy must be rooted in the realities of a country and serve its people. The socialist democracy practiced by China is a whole-process democracy and the most representative democracy. It embodies the will of the people, fits the country"s realities and is thus endorsed by the people.
