In the face of the sudden onslaught of COVID-19, it put people"s life and health first, took the most rigorous control measures and first brought the epidemic under control, making it possible for people to carry on with their life and work as normal. The CPC and the Chinese government serve the Chinese people heart and soul and take people"s happiness and satisfaction as their pursuit and the yardstick to measure their work. After over seven decades of relentless efforts, the 1.4 billion Chinese people all shirked off poverty, with no one left behind. All have access to means of subsistence, housing, education and health care. People are able to lead fulfilling lives free from the sufferings of war, conflict, poverty and hunger. This is true democracy.
